LiveMove Pro Example: Zombie Cowboy

Jane Programmer and Joe Producer are working together on Zombie Cowboys of Doom. Players need to draw their gun, whip their horse, lasso calves, pull back and snap the reins, throw their knife, and a few other cowboy-like moves. Joe wants to experiment with lots of different ideas for these motions, but he doesn't want to monopolize Jane's every last waking hour to program all his experiments.

Jane sets up LiveMove Pro in an afternoon and then tells Joe to do whatever he wants for the 12 different motions in the game. Telling LiveMove Pro what Joe wants is easy; Joe simply performs the motions using the Wii controller. In twenty minutes, Joe has the first draft of all the different motions working in-game.

Joe decides that he doesn't like the motion he chose for snapping the reins. He quickly thinks up a slightly different motion which is easier to perform. Using LiveMove Pro, he is trying it out in the game a few minutes later. Joe also decides that drawing your gun should be easy to do, while throwing your knife should be difficult move to perform. Changing the difficulty of the moves is as simple as turning a knob in LiveMove Pro; Joe quickly adjusts the moves and is happy with the new motions.

Some testing confirms that all the moves feel good in the game. Zombie Cowboys of Doom is ready to ride!
